Description

This is a collection of Danish sentences, sorted from easiest (most simple) to hardest (most complex). This deck begins with very simple sentences, and slowly gets harder as you progress. -=-=-=-=-=- — Why study sentences? Memorizing the meaning of individual words... is pretty much pointless. If you want actual fluency, you need to see a word in as many example sentences as possible. That makes the language start to flow in your head. That shows you how to use the word. How it is combined with the other words. And many other things. We think that effort always converts into fluency. This is not true. If you memorize the meaning of individual words you won't get fluent and you will spend a ton of effort. But studying sentences is the real deal. Is the method of learning that actually converts effort to fluency. Get some basic grammar, some basic vocabulary, then just dive into sentences and more sentences until you're fluent. -=-=-=-=-=- https://frequencylists.blogspot.com.br/

Good deck, thanks for putting in the effort to get together these sentences.

I edited it to have flipped versions of the cards (English -> Danish), and use AwesomeTTS audio files (like you mentioned in another comment). Mind if I reupload the deck with those changes? The pronunciation is much much better, and the deck goes from 144MB to ~65MB, so it'd be useful to others.

very very good and logical deck to learn, but is there another way to get a better translation sound quality?

Try the AwesomeTTS add-on (only available for Anki 2.0, if you have Anki 2.1 you might want to downgrade.)

The AwesomeTTS allows you to add text-to-speech audio to the Anki cards.

This is what the reviewer below meant with "On a few sentences I change the voice to Magnus or Sara using TTS" (He was referring to this add-on.)

I have been using this since several months and it has significantly improved my listening comprehension.
I use it along with audio of sentences curated from Memrise's "Learn with Locals"

I absolutely love this. Thank you I have doing both duolingo and pimsleur, but this might even be the best yet. I am new to Anki and I don't know if this is possible, but it would be nice if there were some way to flip things around so the front of the card is English and the reverse Danish with audio. It would be good to have both.

This is very good. Just a tip. Sometimes the computer audio isn't great but you can easily change it with the TTS add on. On a few sentences I change the voice to Magnus or Sara using TTS. Anyway this is an awesome deck! Mange tak for hjælpen!
