More Answer Buttons (with colors!)

0.01MB. Updated 2018-06-18.

About this mod This mod adds 1) new answer buttons, 2) button colors, 3) shortcut keys. New answer buttons After you install the mod there will be up to 7 answer buttons: Again, Hard, Okay, Good, Easy, Very Easy, Trivial. Each has its own distinct color and a keyboard shortcut. In Anki, the shortcut is shown in parens after the button name. New cards will have 6 buttons:For example, if you have no learning steps, Graduating Interval to 1 day and Easy Interval to 3 days, new cards will have the following buttons: Review cards will instead have 7 buttons:Example: Other cards (learning cards, custom study cards, etc) will have buttons with the default Anki behavior and no new ones. Shortcut keys Each button has a shortcut key. The shortcut key works even if you haven't clicked on "Show answers" next. The shortcut key "z" has also been added for the Undo action, so if you answer a card by mistake you can go back by pressing "z". Customization You can customize the button names and colors by editing the following code which can be found at the top of the file (from Anki, Tools -> Addons -> More_Answer_Buttons_With_Colors -> Edit): buttonAgainName = 'Again' buttonAgainColor = 'red' ... Please e-mail me any feedback or suggestions. You can find my email address on the first line of the addon's source file. Incompatibilities This addon is not compatible with Button Colors.

If you were linked to this page from the internet, please open Anki on your computer, go to the Tools menu and then Add-ons>Browse & Install to paste in the code.

It doesn't work for me. I don't see any additional buttons. Checked on Anki Version 2.1.15 (442df9d6) Qt 5.12.1 installed on Manjaro Linux.

"ruins" all future scheduling for me: each button lowers the ease by 0.15: Usually this should only happen if you press the "hard" button. This happens because of a small error in the function `_rescheduleRev` - you need to change the line `card.factor = `

I would wait until Glutanimate releases an extended version of his "more buttons addon". Currently this only works for new cards but on github [he has said](https://github.com/glutanimate/anki-addons-misc/issues/57#issuecomment-421113034): 'Updating the add-on is on my to-do list, and seeing how the "all cards" add-on is no longer available I will likely be adding a config option to support that use case as well.'

I changed it to this structure which seems to work. I also changed the meaning of the buttons so my settings can't work for you. Fill in the `i=` as needed.

In a python list the first entry has the number zero. To get 0 out of `[-200,-150, 0, 150]` you would write `[-200,-150, 0, 150][2]`. I also included -200 because I made an again-like button - you might want to avoid this.

if ease == 2:
i =
elif ease == 3:
i =
elif ease == 4:
i =
elif ease in [5,6,7]:
i =
card.factor = max(1300, card.factor+[-200,-150, 0, 150][i])

But I have stopped using this add-on.
