Description

This deck is a template for importing study lists from Satori Reader. It just has a placeholder note, since I need some content to share the template information. Initial Import
  1. Export your Satori Reader study list from https://www.satorireader.com/review/export. Choose Japanese to English, but not the reverse and choose Anki (beta).
  2. Unzip the exported file
  3. In Anki, select Import and choose the .csv file you unzipped. It should automatically select Card Type "Satori Reader", but if not, select it manually. You can import it into the template deck or a new deck. It should have "Fields separated by commas". And, select "Ignore lines where the first field matches existing note". Select Import.
  4. The import will include a note with placeholder names, so there will be a couple of useless cards. You can suspend them so they won't be shown.
Importing updates After adding more words to your study list in Satori, simply repeat the import process and it will just import the new cards, ignoring duplicates. Customizing I have included cards for both J->E and E->J. If you only want one direction, from your deck, choose Browse then Cards..., select the Card Type you don't want and then delete it.

Sample (from 1 notes)

Cards are customizable! When this deck is imported into the desktop program, cards will appear as the deck author has made them. If you'd like to customize what appears on the front and back of a card, you can do so by clicking the Edit button, and then clicking the Cards button.

After the file is downloaded, double-click on it to open it in the desktop program.

At this time, it is not possible to add shared decks directly to your AnkiWeb account - they need to be added from the desktop then synchronized to AnkiWeb.
