Reviews

Thank you for the Great Deck. Is there a way to identify words (Not Kanji) based on JLPT Level.
Comment from author
Hi, you might want to search a word and refer to the tag in jisho.org, since there is no official JLPT word list.

Love this thing. I've never used this textbook but this deck is so comprehensive - great for tagging stuff I encounter & making a custom filtered deck from. Super helpful in getting all the jouyou done. Fantastic styling too. Amazing!

Exactly what I'm looking for

NICE

Very helpful, I have learned and understood everything!

good

Good resource, while learning via custom study my time for again hard easy mod is almost 1 year. How to reduce the time?
Comment from author
Hi, can you take a look at your Deck options > Reviews > Maximum interval? You can change your settings there.

Great.

Hope you enjoy this new update!

God bless you!

Awesome deck, really helps to reinforce what I've learned from RTK so I can make the jump to real books more quickly. Thank you!

Of the various Japanese decks I've used, this one is my favorite.

The arduous effort this man put into this deck is unbelievable

Great deck for an excellent book

Because the creator not only includes kanji but also vocab. Great work!

Very helpful.

Thank you!

Hey, thanks for the great deck.
I would like to study the level 3 and 4 only but couldn't be sure to how to do that. I'd be really grateful if you can help with that.

I was manually creating the deck as I went along with this book, got to lesson 30 when I found this. Saves me so much time, thanks!
edit: "Order added" does not match the order in the book, and neither does "Order due". All of the cards with multiple lesson number tags come last so I can't get it to follow the lesson order no matter what I try.
edit 2: If anyone has this problem, I finally figured it out. In the card browser, sort all cards by tag and then right click->reorder. Then create filtered deck by "order due" and you'll have the correct order.

Hi. Recently I had someone DMed me similarly to your issue. In the event you're using iOS to Import File, the Order Due does not follow according to my notes arrangement. The small workaround is you need to:
(Step 1) Import File thru Android's AnkiDroid or using the Anki program for Windows/Mac.
(Step 2) Sync to AnkiWeb using your AnkiWeb account.
(Step 3) Login to your AnkiWeb on your iOS device and sync again for the exact ordering sequence.
This is a known issue for iOS where it follows the Notes Added sequence but not for Order Due sequence. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Hey there. If you are here again, please download a fresh copy and install the file into your collection. I have updated a new formatting for this deck. Thank you.

Great deck!

Learning kanji by context is really interesting and it is lasting longer in the memory

Practical

You are a god bro!!!!!!!!!

This deck is simply superb and is a real labor of love, as stated before. It's exactly what I wanted years ago with the original KIC and is even better with the updated edition. The flexibility and options to customize sets of specific kanji/levels is fabulous and anyone who's serious about learning kanji is better off with the KIC system (IMHO...) than any of the other sets of resources.
The only thing that I wanted that's not included are tags for the individual lesson numbers. When I learn/review, I tend to break the kanji up into blocks based on the lessons so that I can review the content in the workbook and then quiz myself block by block. Once I'm good with a bunch of lessons in the same level, I like to then add those lessons into a pool of "learned but need reviewing for permanence kanji". With the current tags, the most granular you can filter are the 7 levels, which often include a ton of kanji I haven't learned yet. If I'm somehow mistaken in this (which is entirely possible...), I hope someone will let me know so that I don't have to keep manually adding tags for every lesson as I'm currently doing.
Overall, 11/10 stars for fantastic effort, investment of time and energy, precision of entries, and utility for everyone invested in learning kanji. Thanks so much!!!

04th May 2022: Workbook tags are now available.

Brilliant work!

Thank you for this deck... I have the books but studying kanji "in order" makes me also remember them in order... having an anki decks makes sure I actually remember the words rather than the order in which they appear... <3

Gold! May NihonnoKamisama bless you!

Thank you very much for creating this beautiful deck.

Thanks for your hard work

4th March: Thank you for your feedback. It's fixed.

well made deck to complement the book

Great card system to study KIC.

Thorough and well put together

Amazing work, thank you for this resource to study alongside the book.

Very thorough

Great

Thank you very much

Amazing piece of work! Two minor downsides though. Tags are a mess that you have to reorganize with the hierarchical tags addon. Also there's no tone information, but I guess it wasn't in the book either. I have to do it anyway.
Comment from author
Hi. Tags are all based on 1st kanji till the 2136th through stages, ordered by due time. If you read the steps given by the publisher, you will get the order of the exact stages as the book. Red words always come first, then black words, and finally kanji that marked with the symbols 「歴」,「特」, and ♢.
I'm not experienced enough for implementing tone information, though you may try to listen to the audio words by using Kanji Study app and select "Download all audio" provided by Kanji alive. I hope this helps you.

I'm filled with so much gratitude right now for the creator of this deck.. What a generous gift! I've bought the KiC books, but it's been collecting dust for the past few years. This Anki deck has allowed me to start learning again. :)

Amazing job

Thank you :)!

An amazing deck! (Also I'm glad to finally have something in British English since all the Japanese resources I've ever studied with have been in American English.)

Excellent work, will benefit many! Just started KIC and ANKI. Been struggling with Heisig always leveling out at around 500 kanji. Hoping this approach will be better.

Congratulations on the great, huge and thorough work.

Just bought the kic books and was looking for a deck. This is absolutely amazing. It's organized exactly as the book system works. I can tell so much time was put into this deck. Thank you so much!

a good deck that is it

Amazing

This is what everyone was wanted for a long time! Thank you so much for you hard work OP!! This will take my kanji to the next level!!
