nice addon, HOWEVER, it seems to be causing some lag issues; everytime I reveal an anki card and try to hit spacebar to go to the next card, there is a 1-2 second lag before it shows the next card. When I disabled this addon, this lag stopped.

I have many addons installed and use Anki 2.1.35 so I'm not sure if this is something that will affect you

Must-have addon, thank you!

Works great!

Note: I wasn't able to get the loudness normalization feature to work (I received an error message when I clicked on the "Loudness Normalization (mpv only)" checkbox) until I realized that the version of Anki I was running (2.1.35-alternate) did not come bundled with mpv. I'm running Mac OS 10.12, and so I'm only able to use old versions of Anki or the "alternate" build up to 2.1.35. Apparently 2.1.35 comes with mpv but 2.1.35-alternate does not. I was able to fix this issue by downloading the dmg file for 2.1.15 (non-alternate), copying the "lib/" directory and "mpv" executable out of the "Resources/audio/" folder into my existing Anki installation at "/Applications/Anki.app/Contents", and then restarting Anki. Not sure if this is a recommended workaround, but it worked for me!

I've given this add-on a thumbs up because it's well designed and implemented and obviously fills a useful need for many users. I was looking for some way of boosting the volume of Anki's built-in TTS (using the {{tts}} tags) but amplification above 100% is not what this is for (my mistake).

Very good, it normalized the audio of all my decks instantly and works great. I just had to instal MPV from their oficial website and it works on all my audio files, from .wav to .mp3 no problem at all

update: slows down anki reveal card/rate card.causes lag.

works well! should be a built in feature! been messing with windows volume mixer but the results were always unreliable and would have occasional max volume surprise. so far this seems to work perfect. i use alot of audio for answer confirmation feedback correct/incorrect and a little hurry up jingle when iv waited to long to flip a card. so i hear audio after every card in anki and iv needed this for a long time. THANK YOU

This is extremely useful. It also works with add-ons that make sounds, such as Hitmarkers and Speed Focus Mode. I.e., the add-ons can be muted without having to disable them and restart Anki.

To anyone confused whether this normalizes mp3 (it does), the reference to 'mpv' just means you need to have the app named 'mpv' installed for this to normalize your audio.

Thanks for this wonderful add-on! It is extremely useful for me, as I learn languages using diverse sources for the audio, each having their own volume calibration: pre-made decks, audiobooks, movies (subs2srs / SubtitleMemorize), Forvo, Tatoeba, etc…

life saver

Thank you so much. I can study Anki appropriately with the asmr video.

This looks like a great add-on as I study a lot of subs2srs cards, which can have varying audio volume. Is normalization really only possible for .mpv audio files though? Because all of my audio files are .mp3 ><

Useful. I use it when I watch YouTube and at the same time study Anki.

This is very useful add-on when you use sound from different sources. I set volume to 100 and Integrated loudness to -30. Works for me very well.

Thank you very much.
