Japanese Personal Pronouns JTMW (version 1.03)

0.01MB. 0 audio & 0 images. Updated 2015-02-18.

Description

A small set giving all the personal pronouns, even though they are not used as widely in Japanese as in English This is because of the tendency to address people according to their function, e.g. "section chief" or "guest", or otherwise based on their supposed age, e.g. "aunt" for a woman over 30 or 35 or. So the set "Kinship Terms" is also useful for modes of address for people outside of someone's family. Version 1.03 note: Added the clue "related to place" to the more formal sounding あちら, そちら, こちら, どちら and to the less formal sounding あっち, そっち, こっち and どっち. Version 1.02 note: Made the formatting of the input more uniform: - kanji and hiragana spelling separated by a "/"; - multiple answers now each have their own line. Version 1.01 note: Added the formal and less formal ko-so-a-do words that can also mean I/you/he/she/we/they/you and therefore belong in this deck. Source: Wayne P. Lammers' "Japanese the Manga Way", without using any copyrighted example sentences or manga images. This book is recommended if you are looking for a well-written and well-illustrated basic (yet surprisingly comprehensive) guide to Japanese grammar.
