US Bill of Rights

0.01MB. 0 audio & 0 images. Updated 2013-02-24.

Description

This deck is designed to help you memorize verbatim the text of the first ten Amendments to the US Constitution (affectionately known as the Bill of Rights). The deck consists of six sub-decks, each of which is a lesson. The first lesson familiarizes you with the Amendments, and by the sixth lesson, you'll be typing in the full text of each Amendment from memory. Importantly, the text used is a slightly updated version of what actually appears in the Bill of Rights. For instance, most nouns are capitalized in the original text, but only the words "United", "State" (when it refers to a State in the union, rather than the concept of a nation), and "Constitution" are capitalized in the text of the deck. Also, spellings of words like "offence" and "defence" have been replaced with modern American spellings. All grammar and punctuation remains the same as the original text.

Great well organized and put together decks. I suspend all except the first lesson until I had seen all of the first lesson then un-suspended the second lesson. Then un-suspend the the third lesson once I had seen all of the second lesson. ect. This worked well.

The card's background is a weathered paper to go with the Bill of Rights theme. Its a nice touch, but does make the text difficult to read at times. This might be fixed by making the text black rather than white or by adding a black outline to the white text.

Great deck

This is one of the nicest looking decks I've ever seen! Very comprehensive study of each amendment. Some related cards don't seem to be hidden sometimes.
