Add Hyperlink

0.02MB. Updated 2022-05-23.
The author has shared 77 other item(s).

This add-on adds a dialog to enter hyperlinks (see screenshot below) and some context menu entries for handling hyperlinks. The shortcuts to insert a hyperlink (default Ctrl+Shift+H) and unlink (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+H) can be configured using the configuration window of 2.1: Tools>Add-ons, select the add-on and click on "Config". Use this at your own risk. This is a partial fork of the add-on Power Format Pack (Copyright 2014-2017 Stefan van den Akker) because it won't be ported to 2.1 (as of 2018-11). # Styling If you don't like how the hyperinks look like during reviews (blue and underlined) you can adjust this by changing some css in the styling section of the card templates for window. To change how hyperlinks look in the editor you need (in Anki 2.1.49) another add-on like https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/181103283 (but this is pretty complicated). # Alternatives For some uses cases (links to the same site that have a similar url structure) this built-in feature is better: https://apps.ankiweb.net/docs/manual.html#dictionary-links # bugs, errors, feedback Please do not use reviews for bug reports or support requests. I don't get notified of your reviews, and properly troubleshooting an issue through them is nearly impossible (formatting is limited and I can't reply multiple times). If you find a bug let me know in the official anki support forum, on github. The source code is available on github. # other useful add-ons If you want to replace the PowerFormatPack in Anki 2.1 you might also be interested in these add-ons: - Mini Format Pack - Syntax Highlighting for Code - add table - Auto Markdown - convert Markdown to HTML - Mini Format Pack Supplementary # Credits - Stefan van den Akker (the original code for Anki 2.0) - Arthur Milchior (all the changes in the version from 2020-04-03, mainly the optional config with a GUI with the add-on Graphical form to change add-on configuration). # Versions - 2022-05-23 fix for 2.1.50/qt6: fix "open url" etc context entries. - 2022-02-09 fix for 2.1.50 context menu - 2022-01-26 fix 2.1.50 for qt5 - 2021-12-05 version for 2.1.50, thanks @zjosua for the update. - 2021-11-21 add "when problems occur" section to config.md - 2021-07-10 some cleanup for 2.1.45 - 2020-07-29 partially reverse change from 2020-06-15, at least sometimes keep the surrounding formatting, see issue 7. - 2020-06-18 fix latest release: rename a function everywhere ... - 2020-06-16 added editor context menu "open URL" (in browser), can be switched off/hidden in the add-on config - renamed a config option - made a context menu entry optional - yesterdays addition is optional - strip whitespace around links - 2020-06-15 try to deal with illegal characters in URL("), remember window size - 2020-04-03 optional config with a GUI with the add-on Graphical form to change add-on configuration - 2019-10-20 improve interoperability - 2019-10-15 manifest.json - 2019-04-11 added context menu entries (experimental) - 2018-11-03 initial release

Please add it to make it look like this ▶▶▶ https://wampi.ru/image/RWfxiWf ◀◀◀ Here is the link how it should look, if it's not difficult, you can add it so that you can create them yourself and add text and pictures to them, it would be necessary for me

Perfect. Thanks a lot.

One small issue, when asking it not to count suspended cards, it still counts it towards final percentage and matured percentage. Would appreciate a fix for that.

Would you be kind enough to change the color of hyperlink~
Comment from author
you can change the color of the hyperlink yourself. To change it for the reviewer you must edit the styling section in the "card types for " window for each note type you have, see e.g. this old anking video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgKDRTTTnh4 (it's slightly dated so that instead of three text areas you now have three radio buttons on top but the principles are the same). to change it in the editor you need another add-on. For recent anki versions it's "CSS Injector - Change default editor styles", https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/181103283

I don't want to build this in because there might be conflicts with one of 1000 other add-ons and it's impossible to check all of those and it's slightly out of scope for my add-on that is only about "adding" the hyperlinks.

Thanks to the authors! I deep-link from Anki cards to my notes in Craft.docs [1] with your add-on.

This is a very useful and underrated addon! Thank you so much for your support

Can you add support so we can add hyperlinks by right clicking on them ? This way we won't have extra widget symbols.

Downvotes don't motivate me to add features. So no.

Besides this general point I don't really understand your feature request. I like my context menu and if you have a valid url (and no other text) selected this add-on adds an entry "Hyperlink - transform to hyperlink" to the context menu. Though this only works if the text selected starts with http or https (the protocol) which seems to be needed so that the link works as expected, see https://stackoverflow.com/questions/43803778/href-without-https-prefix/43803838

I use it every now and then – it has olost some use cases for me since I discovered that when pasting in Anki *preserving* formatting, a URL becomes a hyperlink.

Useful add-on. It would be nice if there could be a default text to display value (e.g. "Link"), if one is not entered.

I use night mode in ankidroid and the hyperlink text is very dark blue, how can I change it to light blue? In the desktop version it's light blue in the reviewer but it's still dark blue in the browser, how do i change it in the browser too?
Comment from author
This add-on only inserts the hyperlinks. How they are displayed depends on Anki or Ankidroid. How they are styled is a general question of styling. I don't know much about styling html - maybe try reddit.com/r/anki ?

In Anki for desktop by default you can't change how it looks in the editor (at the bottom of the browser). There's an add-on that allows to style the editor, too, but it's complicated to setup: Customize Editor Stylesheet, https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1215991469

Legendary add-on! Oh how I've missed being able to add hyperlinks to here and to there.
2.1 has been breaking old add-ons all over the shop, but with THIS... the world is right again.

An url-button is added so when you make a new card, you can add an url in the card and make it hot-link,
idem - in an existing card - in the deks/card/browse menu/card field;
works like on the wikipedia:
click the url button and
a screen pops-up with 2 fields:
field 1 where you can add the url,
field 2 where you can add the text to be displayed related to the url in field 1, if you find the url too cumbersome.
