This deck contains 101 common words and phrases. The cards go two ways: - FR to EN - EN to FR Audio and images are also included. NOTE: I like to set the order to random. ('Show new cards in random order' in the deck options.) I think it's better that way but maybe it's just personal preference :) View French Core 100 Word List online Deck material is courtesty of frenchpod101.com and prepared by 101languages.net Please rate if you like it!

The idea that fruits and months and job titles are "core" (as opposed to, say, the words we actually use often, like the various conjugations of ĂȘtre and avoir) is...a little odd. Belongs to the same approach to education that embraces without question the assumption that it's inexplicably imperative that children be taught the names of animals they will never encounter as quickly as possible. But perhaps that's more a question of labeling. It's nice that they're free, but "core" is pushing it.

Audios are very useful to memorize words.

Audio Levels Are Incosistent

Overall I think this is a deck worth using, and it's nice to have audio and photos accompanying the cards. My only gripe so far is that the audio levels are inconsistent, so one card will have a very clear and loud female voice while the next card will be a quieter, deep, and muffled male voice which will require me to crank up the volume to 90% to hear it (and then back down again in case the next card will be loud).
