After the file is downloaded, double-click on it to open it in the desktop program.

At this time, it is not possible to add shared decks directly to your AnkiWeb account - they need to be added from the desktop then synchronized to AnkiWeb.

Great job with the deck! I really like the implementation of the Hanzi Writer library, which makes it a convenient way to practice stroke order in Anki. But since it is sorted in RTK order, for someone like me who opted to use the Kodansha Kanji Learning Course (KKLC). I would like to see an additional field added to sort by KKLC level instead of RTK, if possible. Thank you.

Update:
I was looking for how to export the deck as a spreadsheet to add the fields manually on my own, but to my surprise you added the KKLC fields before I managed to figure out how to do it myself. thanks!

You could add a field for kklc order and then convert an anki deck with the information you want into a spreadsheet and import it while updating the field you created. I will look into updating this later as it's a nice idea

edit: included that

just a heads up, it works pretty well now on android, since ankidroid updated to 2.15.2 recently.

thanks a lot for the deck! i wasnt going to learn how to draw kanji but since i can use it on my phone now, ill slowly learn how to draw them in addition to the other decks im using to learn japanese.

It's more convenient when you can just pull out a phone, but it should improve your reading also. anyway cheers for the heads up.

Great work! I think the writer feature is unique and more than useful!
I'd love to see the pop-up Integration in Anki for iOS / iPadOS.

Any way to spend a coffee?

Edit: Thanks for your fast reply! :)
I played around with the iOS Version and it seems like I figured out how to open the pop-up window. If you push and hold the kanji longer than a usual tap but not so long, that iOS will try marking the kanji, it will open up the pop-up window. I don't know weather it's a bug or feature, but it actually helps preventing to accidentally open the window. But maybe there is some easy workaround to fix(?) it?

Out of curiosity: Where are all the Infos of the pop-up stored at? Obviously they aren't in the note itself. I wonder, how I can customize the cards themselves and (if I had any further js knowledge) the template. I'm familiar with css and html but the card template as awesome as it is kinda confuses me. :D

Edit 2: I'm trying to contact you via Discord. Would you accept my invite? (Discord-Name Fabniam)

Thanks man, the writer feature is an open-source project that I simply use (https://github.com/chanind/hanzi-writer).

also, are you saying that the pop-up feature does not work for IOS, because I don't have a device to test this but perhaps it is fixable.

"Any way to spend a coffee?"
Not at the moment, but thank you :). Though if I get more consistent with releasing things I may feel like a Ko-fi button is justified.

EDIT: all g, I can help you out with the template however it's better if you send me a discord message TowelSniffer#7098. fixing bugs on IOS would be pretty hard as I don't have a device I can test with, unfortunately, and the issue you describe isn't suggesting any obvious solutions to me.

The popup stories are stored in your collection media folder in a js file called _kanjax_with_koohii.js. the neat thing is if you copy the section of the templates that loads the script onto your other Japanese cards you can get the same popup.

hey so I don't see any message requests (TowelSniffer#7098) on discord, could you try again?

I'm on my 1000th kanji working from Kanji Koohii, and honestly I wish I knew about this before I went that route. The biggest reason this deck is better is because has everything you need for offline use; a few stories, the radicals, ON/KUN readings, and even better a practice pad which also works with a simple mouse and ankidroid. I'm now working on transferring my Koohii story data, however I couldn't route the csv correctly, so I'm just doing it manually which is easy enough. I'd give this deck 5 stars if I could.

Awesome !

It seems “a” is missing from hiragana/katakana though. I will add it.

Plus you state “if the field is empty it creates a pigoz anki canvas template.” Nope. I had to fix that in version 2020-12-15.

Thank you for letting me know, I updated the deck to include the "a" and also the uncommon "vu" katakana/hiragana for anyone who wants to download.

When you say “'if the field is empty it creates a pigoz Anki canvas template.' Nope." did updating fix this issue for you as it should from my own testing
