Browser: Table/Editor side-by-side (horizontal split)
As add-ons are programs downloaded from the internet, they are potentially malicious. You should only download add-ons you trust.
- 2.1.22-2.1.45+ (updated 2021-05-28)
To download this add-on, please copy and paste the following code into Anki 2.1:
If you were linked to this page from the internet, please open Anki on your computer, go to the Tools menu and then Add-ons>Browse & Install to paste in the code.
All Anki 2.1.x Add-Ons Contact Author
Now my Anki is much more like a notebook !
But as a note, if anyone reading this is having trouble with this addon in anki version 2.1.41 and up, check to see if you're using the addon "BetterSearch," then DELETE IT. Don't disable it. DELETE it. That will get this addon working again.
About the compatibility with BetterSearch: The user also reported that after reinstalling BetterSearch both add-ons worked well together, see https://forums.ankiweb.net/t/browser-table-editor-side-by-side-horizontal-split-official-thread/548/12 So you should be able to work with both add-ons.
Must have add-on
"side-by-side is default": true,
"toggle to vertical if editor narrower than": 1500,
"when narrow move search bar to extra line": true
I guess that's a typo in your review? You would have to set it to
"toggle to vertical if editor narrower than": 300
But I guess that's what you mean. For most users 1500 should be too high but maybe you have a high resolution monitor.
> it's not consistent
That might happen. I release add-ons that work on my computer with my anki version with my add-on selection. If you have another OS, other add-ons, or another Anki version there's always some risk of problems - especially when it comes to UI (User face) elements. I just know that for me it works and so far I have no bug report with sufficient info to reproduce the problem so that I could fix it. I have no idea where I should start looking with your info.
"Sufficient info" means the exact steps on how to reproduce it and the anki version, your os, and your debug info which you get from the main window when you click on Help->About. In the window that opens click the "Copy Debug Info" Button and share the copied text - and if it's related to some custom config all your add-on settings (like you shared them).
When you have more maybe post it in the anki forum (on the top right of this website there's "contact author").
I changed the shortcut to ctrl+alt+6 because I need AltGr+8 (QWERTZ keyboard).
very useful for editing cards in the browser mostly cloze cards
thanks for your contribution 🙏
