Pimsleur Japanese [90 Units, Kana+Kanji answers]
0.08MB. 0 audio & 0 images. Updated 2014-09-21.
Description
This is based on "Pimsleur Japanese I-III Vocab" but with numerous errors corrected and Kanji answers added as well.
Most of the errors corrected involved adding an extra う or ー after O/U sounds, or changing the particle spelling of わ to は. There were also numerous places where the answers simply were wrong or all listed under the wrong card, or the unit tag was wrong, etc. All of these errors were corrected by hand as I went through the lessons myself, and Kanji answers were also inserted for every card as well.
You don't need to know any Kanji to use this deck, but you will need to know how to read Hiragana and Katakana (which are pretty easy to learn anyway). You can simply view the Kanji as you go to get used to seeing it, and read the Kana answer to see if you got the card right or wrong.
Updated on 8/7/2014 with the change for the "I'll give you" Kanji. My apologies for any problems in the deck still, I'm not a native Japanese speaker by any means, I'm just using Jsho and JED on Android to look things up and do my best for the few cases where there are more than one possibility. Please send me any additional corrections in the comments.

Great deck!

Thanks for doing this, you've really added to the excellent Pimsleur Japanese series. While I am OK with the Pimsleur approach...no written collection of the vocab or dialogs, it's helpful to review the series with this Anki.
Much appreciate your effort. どうもありがとうございます!
Good so far

I switched to this from the Memrise Pimsleur Japanese course. I believe that course took the data from this deck, so I'll comment on a couple of points:
1. There are a few quirks, like "yes, informal" is ee * he. I am not sure why there is a he there. (Apologies for not using hiragana, I don't have that input set up on my computer yet.
2. There are a few cards where the word used differs from the current Pimsleur word. The deck may be based on an older version of Pimsleur. At least that was the case in Memrise. If this deck is in fact different, I'll update this review.
Also, a note to the author: There's now a Pimsleur Japanese IV out. I'm not sure if you're still studying, but if so it would be great to update the deck with that level.
Once I get to level IV I may do so myself, but I'm not 100% confident in my ability to remember the words in each lesson and spell them correctly.
Thanks for making this!
Mostly good, but still contains errors so be cautious

For examples of errors: the card with Japanese names spells them wrong (leaves out extended vowels); the card for "I'll give you" from Unit_1.14 had incorrect kanji (should be 上げます)
These are two errors I've noticed early on.
